Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a Btech Engineer with experience in tender preparation, office administration, and marketing & events management related fields. I moved to Aberdeen with my family in 2021 after my husband got a job opportunity in the oil & gas industry. Currently we are exploring the beauty of Aberdeen and its seasonal changes, which is a big transition from Dubai’s heat. I feel grateful for this job opportunity and happy to be a part of the Epidemiology research team.
What will you be working on with the Epi Group?
I am working as the Administration Coordinator of Epi group, providing administrative support to all team members. I am happy to organize office matters, schedule meetings, collaborate with staff, make arrangements for visitors & events, work on the finance system and assist the department in every possible way!
Are you currently involved in any other research?
I will be delivering administration associated activities for the CAPE (Consortium Against Pain Inequality) research project. This study is about the impact of adverse childhood experiences on chronic pain and responses to treatment. I look forward to assisting the research team on this work.
What do you like about Aberdeen?
Aberdeen is the first city I have travelled to outside of Dubai or India, which makes it very exciting! I’ll always cherish my family's "first snow” moments, visits to Dunnottar and Slains Castles (almost flying away in the strong winds!), and pleasant parks & playgrounds for the kids! The journey has been beautiful so far. One thing that is new to me is the late sunrise / early sunset during winter and vice-versa during summer - it is indeed a very different experience!
