Biography

I joined the University of Aberdeen in 2019 as a Research Assistant coordinating the DREAM-CP Trial and recently, the SIAMESE Trial. DREAM-CP is a randomised controlled Trial looking at the effect of melatonin in people living with chronic pain. SIAMESE is a non- inferiority Trial with the aim of showing that the infraneural technique of giving epidural injection is not inferior to the supranueral approach in terms of effect on pain, function and sleep in people living with sciatica.

I also work part time as an Assistant Trial manager with CHaRT, working on the UK TAVI. UK TAVI is a multi-centre Randomised Trial with the aim of comparing surgical aortic valve replacement with TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) in patients with severe narrowing of the aortic valve.

I graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with a BSc in Laboratory Sciences. I worked briefly in a medical laboratory in Nigeria before relocating to Scotland. I gained an MSc in Analytical Sciences (DNA Analysis, Proteomics & Metabolomics) from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. I previously worked with NHS Grampian before joining the University of Aberdeen.
