Biography
Laura joined the Health Services Research Unit in August 2024 as a Trial Manager on the EVEREST Trial having joined from the Epidemiology group where she worked on various studies including the UK Antimicrobial Registry Study, DyNAMISM, PACFiND, FRESKO, RHEUMAPS and VOICES.
Laura graduated from the Robert Gordons University with a BSc (Hons) in Biosciences and Chemistry, then spent nine years working for the University of Aberdeen on various research projects. After many years in the lab, she then moved into lab management first as a lab manager, then as a facility manager with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and then Pfizer, before having a career change and working for five years in the oil and gas sector as a project logistics coordinator with Subsea7. Laura returned to science as a lab and quality manager with Scotia Biologics before her return to Aberdeen University
