Biography
Louise Campbell joined the Unit in October 2000 as Data Manager/Secretary on the RECORD trial of calcium and vitamin D supplementation for the secondary prevention of osteoporosis-related fractures in the elderly.
She has worked as data manager across various studies including the MAPS (Men After Prostate Surgery) study. MAPS is a £1.3 million project (Funded by NHS R&D Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme) to investigate incontinence in men who have had prostate surgery. MAPS aimed to explore whether physiotherapy can help men who have had these kinds of surgery.
IQuaD (a randomised controlled trial comparing oral hygiene advice and periodontal instrumentation for the prevention and management of periodontal disease in dentate adults attending dental primary care)
KAT; a multi-centre randomised controlled trial to assess four developments in knee replacement surgery,
and
PHOTO, PHOTOdynamic versus white light guided treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer: A randomised trial of clinical and cost effectiveness.
She is a workstation assessor and also one of the unit’s first aiders.
