FULL PROGRAMME AVAILABLE NOW! The British Science Festival is Europe’s largest event of its kind and is being delivered by the British Science Association, alongside local hosts, TechFest-SetPoint and the University of Aberdeen. The theme is ‘Energising Minds’ and this will be explored through a range of topical issues.

There is a great selection of talks, debates and evening events, including our key note speakers. Brian Cox, Bill Bryson, Paul Nurse and Susan Greenfield are just some of the 'famous faces' participating in this year's Festival.

The programme offers a number of workshops, exhibitions and drop-in sessions throughout the Festival. As well as the on-campus activities, there are a range of events in the city centre including film screenings at the Belmont Cinema and fantastic family events at the Beach Ball Room and Beach Leisure Centre, Satrosphere Science Centre and Aberdeen Arts Centre. Events are also taking place in Aberdeenshire including  Banchory, Ellon, Inverurie and Laurencekirk. There is also a selection of trips and tours including dolphin watching, whisky tasting, a trip to Aberdeen Harbour and OceanLab. Download the full programme for a full list of trips and tours on offer throughout Aberdeen City and Shire.

Make sure you visit our Spiegeltent, where you can enjoy a drink and a show; the Spiegeltent is a one-off for Aberdeen and is sure to be a top festival attraction.
