Disability History Month

UK Disability History Month (UKDHM) is an annual event that takes place between 16 November - 16 December, creating a platform to focus on the history of the struggle for equality and human rights and what is needed for the future. At the University of Aberdeen we have created a series of events to celebrate, educate and inspire our staff and students.

What's On

Disabled Students' Forum Lunch

16 November, 12pm, Sir Duncan Rice Library Meeting Room 1

All disabled students/ students with disibilities are invited to hear a presentation from the Students' Union on the benefits of joining the Disabled Students' Forum and the role of the committee members. Our Careers and Employability Services Team will also discuss employability support for students.

Discover Our Networks

Staff Disability Network Group

The Staff Disability Network Group provides feedback on Equality Impact Assessments and discusses issues related to disability. The group aims to provide support for disabled staff and those with an interest in disability in the workplace, to share information and consider good practice, and to provide recommendations to enhance University policy where appropriate.
