A lecture by Professor William Naphy looking at the movements for changing race relations in the US.

The lecture will look at the movements for changing race relations in the US, largely from the perspective of African-American leaders from Abolitionism to resistance of Jim Crow Segregation.

In particular, the lecture will look at divergent views within the African-American leadership about the ‘best’ way to protect African-Americans and to advance the cause of racial equality.
