Do you ever wonder if - with the advances in modern forensic methods - the outcome of murder cases from days gone by would be any different? If investigated today would the conclusions be the same? Would the accused still be found guilty? Would modern techniques indicate a miscarriage of justice?

In this fascinating presentation, recently retired pathologist Professor James Grieve, forensic soil scientist Professor Lorna Dawson and SPA forensic biologist Chris Gannicliffe look at cases with a local interest and discuss how modern technology has changed the face of forensic science.
