Kristin Elizabeth Newlands Kristin graduated with a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen in 2010 and is currently undertaking post-graduate studies there with the aim to investigate complex flow behaviour in the fuel stringer within a nuclear reactor using Computational Fluid Dynamics. Her research interests include turbulent flows, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Turbulence Modelling (LES). |

Celestine Iwendi Celestine Iwendi obtained a BSc and MSc in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nigeria, MSc in Communication Hardware and Microsystems from Uppsala University Sweden and is currently a PhD student at the School of Engineering, University of Aberdeen, Scotland. His research is centred on Security Issues in Wireless Sensor Networks. He is the editor of the wireless sensor network magazine and Associate at the Centre for Sustainable International Development. |

Maryam Heidari Maryam graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen in 2010 and is now pursuing PhD studies in the same institution. Her research in the field of Mechanics of Materials focuses on the three-dimensional modelling of functionally graded materials with applications in the fields of energy conversion as well as dental and orthopaedic implants and sensors. |

Mahesa Bhawanin Mahesa Bhawanin is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Aberdeen. Graduating with a BEng of Civil Engineering (Environmental) from the same institution in 2010, he continued on to his PhD in Coastal Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Tom O’Donoghue. His research interests include coastal hydrodynamics and sediment transport processes. |
