An exuberant wrought iron sunflower

Related Information

The building (Cross Street /Saltoun Place) designed by Mr McMillan with a turret topped by a dome with a wrought iron sunflower. Here was a bakery belonging to the Whyte family who, after having traded in Fraserburgh since 1875, left for South Africa where they made a considerable fortune. They are remembered by the "Margaret Whyte Fund", money that was bequeathed to individual citizens of the town in memory of their mother
