Description

An Ornate cast iron fountain topped by an ostrich which is part of the town's crest.

Related Information

Erected in 1904, re-sited in 1923 when the war memorial took its original site. It was painted silver
to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee in 1978. Category B
listed since 1993. Made by Walter Mac Farlane & Co - Saracen foundry in Glasgow.
Architect - Boucher.
