The University of Aberdeen is part of the Santander Universities network, an international group of universities with three similar goals in common: Education, Employability and Entrepreneurship.
The relationship stimulates collaborations and partnerships between the University of Aberdeen and universities and organisations within the worldwide network, including part-funded internships for SMEs, and exchange programmes for students and staff.
Global Partners
Through its Santander Universities Global Division, Santander has collaborated with UK and global universities for more than 15 years, supporting activities within teaching and research, international cooperation, knowledge exchange, entrepreneurial initiatives, student mobility and innovation. This is a network where universities from all over the world can meet and engage in dialogue.
Santander Universities has partnerships with universities in 20 countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany, Ghana, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, United Arab Emirates, UK, Uruguay, and USA.
Santander Universities began its activity in Spain in 1997 with one main objective: to support higher education. Since then it has donated over £500 million in the shape of scholarships, travel grants, support to special projects, academic and non-academic awards.
