A prayer to the Virgin Mary. The author invokes her virtues. He asks her to intercede for him with Christ her son, that he may be allowed before his death to confess and repent of his sins; and that after his death he may find eternal life and rest with the saints and the elect.
Te deprecor sanctissima Maria mater dei\ pietate plenissima summi regis filia\ mater gloriosissima, mater orphanorum\ consolacio desolatorum via errancium salus et\ spes in te sperancium, virgo ante partum, virgo\ in partu, virgo post partum. Fons misericordie fons\ salutis et gracie, fons pietatis et leticie, fons\ consolacionis et indulgencie ut intercedas pro\ me peccatore, N, famulo tuo ante conspectum\ filii tui domini nostri Ihesu Christi ut per suam magnam\ misericordiam et tuam sanctissimam intercessionem\ concedat michi ante tempus et diem mortis mee\ puram confessionem de peccatis meis ac contri\cionem et veram penitenciam.
