The fifth of fifteen prayers of St Bridget to Jesus Christ (O ... eterne, as Oratio quinta; Memento ... mee, as Oratio sexta, HE, pp 77-8). She invokes the memory of his vision, upon the cross, of the redemption of the elect and the damnation of the sinful, and his words to the thief: 'Today shalt thou be with me in paradise' (Luke 23: 43); and she asks that he may show mercy to her in the hour of her death.
