Folio 14v
Miscellaneous devotions, continued.
Prayer, Domine sancte pater omnipotens eterne deus in, continued.
The author seeks forgiveness for his past sins, freedom from his present sins
and avoidance of sin in the future. He asks for wisdom and humility in worldly
affairs, an abundance of grace in good works, love of all that is good for the
soul and the body, unwearied patience; mercy and everlasting glory for our
friends and benefactors; acknowledgement and forgiveness of our enemies; and,
for ourselves, time in which to repent and amend our ways, the grace of the holy
spirit, perseverance in good works, and protection from our enemies, visible and
invisible.
