Wudang Five Animals Movements-Turtle, Snake, Crane, Tiger and Dragon

Free 6 week course starting on 14th November.

Every Saturday 2pm-3pm from 14th November until 19th December.

Wudang Five Animals Movements is based on imitating the actions and movements of the five animals: turtle, snake, crane, tiger, and dragon. It is a series of separate forms, broken down into simple movements creating five short routines. Each form of the whole routine is with interesting name regarding to these five animals’ typical behaviors. Children can learn through imitating those Chinese traditional animals in order to have some ideas towards the Chinese culture.

The course starts with simple warming up exercises, and then Turtle form. During the practice, each movement will be explained with its interesting name, and some related stories behind the movement; cartoons or the Chinese pictures will be included.

The outcome of the class is to have a taste of Wudang Five Animals Movement, and to experience the Chinese culture through copying the behaviors of the animals.
