An evening of Scottish music and Chinese puppetry at the Beach Ballroom. We are celebrating a successful collaboration between the Confucius Institute of the University of Aberdeen, Scottish Opera, and Aberdeen City and Shire that has been delivered in primary classrooms across the region.
Over the last year, hundreds of primary school students from 13 local schools have been studying Chinese language and culture through Scottish Opera’s ‘Warriors! The Incredible Army’. Together with Scottish Opera, over a hundred students will put on a final performance that shows off their skills in Chinese language, music and culture.
There will also be a special guest performance by the renowned puppeteers of the Peoples’ Art Theatre of Wuhan.
