Reading with Xiaolu Guo at May Festival

Xiaolu Guo is an award-winning Chinese novelist and filmmaker, resident in the UK, who first made an impact with A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers. She was named one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists. Here she reads from her latest novel, I am China, and discusses her films including UFO in Her Eyes and Late at Night, Voices of Ordinary Madness.
