Learning a language on your own can be tough. Meeting up with a friendly face to practise not only reduces the loneliness of language learning but also provides some positive momentum. So why not find someone in your community to speak with? The Confucius Institute hosts language exchange events to introduce potential language exchange partners in a friendly setting.
All levels of Mandarin learner are welcome, so whether you are an absolute beginner or fluent in Mandarin, you can participate, just be ready to help others with your own native tongue as you practise theirs.
Native Mandarin speakers are encouraged to come; improve your English or learn a new language, with more than 130 nationalities at the University of Aberdeen there is certain to be a wide variety of languages on offer.
