Traditional Chinese Wellbeing for Autumn
Along with herbal medicine and acupuncture, massage and food therapy are also key components of traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese massage promotes the flow of “Qi” (energy) through “meridians” in the body. When Qi flowers smoothly through the meridians the body will feel relaxed and free of tension.
This one hour talk and workshop, hosted by Dr Lusha Lyu and Dr Qingbin Chi from the Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicines at London Southbank University will discuss common physical alignments experienced during the seasonal changes in autumn. Traditional Chinese remedies focus on prevention of typical symptoms with food therapy and Traditional Chinese Massage that can be self-practiced at home.
