These are designed to provide assistance to help students support themselves during their time at university, and also aim to reward academic excellence.


ICAS Foundation Nurturing Talent Programme

The ICAS Foundation Programme provides an all-encompassing range of support for students planning to study accounting or finance at university. They aim to support academically talented young people from family backgrounds with limited resources, who wish to attend university but may not have the means to do so without additional financial support.

AFES offers bursaries to MSc students and partial PhD funding to support education in the areas of petrophysics and formation evaluation.


John Reid Postgraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available on an annual basis to undergraduate students graduating, or who have graduated at Honours level in an Arts subject (MA or BMus qualification) from the University of Aberdeen, who have an offer to undertake postgraduate study at an institution outside of Scotland.

Aberdeen Global Scholarship (General)

This £3,000 scholarship towards your tuition fee is available to eligible self-funded post graduate taught (PGT) students who are classed as international fee status and domiciled in any of the 198 countries and territories not covered under other Aberdeen Global Scholarship options. Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Scholarship

NHS Staff Discount

The University of Aberdeen NHS discount is a 10% discount offered to all NHS staff. It applies to:

SAIC scholarships

MSc Sustainability Transitions is one of the programmes approved by the Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) who offers funding opportunities for students interested in the sustainability of Scottish aquaculture.
