We have comprehensive modern instrumentation, and many years of expertise between us, so you can be assured that your samples are in safe hands. We are flexible in our approach and can tailor our services to meet your needs, based around the following technologies:
- High-resolution/accurate mass nanoLC-MS/MS (Thermo Scientific Q Exactive Plus)
- MALDI-TOF MS (Bruker Daltonics microflex) for molecular weight determination for a wide range of analytes, including proteins up to 500,000 m/z, and rapid identification of microorganisms (MALDI Biotyper)
- Sample preparation for MALDI tissue imaging using Bruker Daltonics ImagePrep
- Bespoke programming of PerkinElmer JANUS liquid handling robot (Varispan 4-tip, with gripper) for automated sample preparation and assays (e.g., in microtitre plates)
- High resolution gel electrophoresis (1-D and 2-D) in a range of formats
- 2-D DIGE using Cy-2, Cy-3 and Cy-5 fluorescent dyes
- Protein detection by Coomassie Blue, silver stain (MS compatible), fluorescent stains including those for the specific detection of phosphoproteins, and transfers to membranes for immunostaining
- High resolution gel imaging and image analysis using Progenesis SameSpots (Nonlinear Dynamics) with full statistical analysis
- Proteomic data submission to public repositories (PRIDE)
- Data analysis for SILAC and label-free experiments (using Proteome Discoverer and/or MaxQuant)
- Biacore X100 Surface Plasmon Resonance for molecular interaction analysis
