Counselling
Find out more about the University's Counselling Service
Counselling is a short-term ‘talking therapy’ which offers the opportunity for you to explore any issues which are causing you stress or distress in a confidential environment.
Our professional and experienced Counsellors can give you the time and space to talk through difficulties you are experiencing, help you seek out the changes you need to make or work with you to identify the solutions you need to find.
It’s good to talk.
Counselling should not be regarded as an alternative to seeing your GP or Doctor, who still remains the person you should consult if you have concerns about your physical and mental health.
PS. For loads of resources, self-help options, online links, recommended books, local support agencies and referral options, please see the links section or our Health and Wellbeing collection.
