Following the huge success of the first University Health and Wellbeing day in January a second event is to be held at the Suttie Centre on Wednesday 6 April

There will be a range of events for colleagues to try (some of which require booking in advance) as well as information stands that showcase some of the excellent facilities and expertise available to staff.

 Get involved in a number of physical activities on the day with:

  •      A ‘Karate Do’ workshop led by president of the National Karate Institute Scotland, Ronnie Watt OBE
  •      Mindfulness and Relaxation taster sessions
  •     Indoor cycling challenge
  •     Emergency First Aid training
  •     BMI analysis
  •     And much more.

 

     Chat with representatives from:

  • The Rowett on healthy diets and nutrition
  • Aberdeen Sports Village about their facilities, fitness plans and assessments
  • NHS Grampian on support available to stop smoking or cutting down on alcohol
  • Cycling Scotland on how to stay safe on the road and promote sustainable travel

 Free soups and smoothies will be available, courtesy of the Campus Services team.
