Vascular Access Course

The ultrasound guided vascular access course, endorsed by the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian, is open to all foundation and core trainees in Scotland.
It provides theoretical and practical skills in utilising ultrasound for peripheral and central access. This includes clinical demonstration and hands on practice on ultrasound use for peripheral venous cannulas, central lines and arterial lines. The course is run by the Department of Anaesthesia of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and is accredited for 2.5 CPD credits under the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The course has been running 3-4 times a year in Aberdeen and has been highly rated by previous participants.
