Republic of Ireland
Irish nationals who are living in the Republic of Ireland, who have been ordinarily resident in the Common Travel Area of the UK, Islands or Ireland for three years prior to the relevant date (for autumn start courses this is 1 August) who are studying in Scotland will be eligible to apply for a tuition fee loan from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS).
Please note: there are different provisions in place from SAAS for Irish nationals living in the UK before 31 Dec 2020, who have been ordinarily resident in the UK for three years prior to the relevant date (for autumn start courses this is 1 August) who apply to study in Scotland.

Repayment of Tuition Fee Loan and Living Cost/Maintenance Loans
You don’t have to start to re-pay your tuition fee loan and living cost/maintenance loan back until the April after you graduate, and only once you earn over the threshold salary level. Please review these levels above with your relevant funding body.
