The University of Warsaw is the largest university and a leading research centre in Poland. The UW community comprises 8,000 employees and around 40,000 students and doctoral candidates. 3,600 international students are among the overall number of students and doctoral candidates. Besides its 25 faculties, UW also has 30 academic and research centres. UW provides a very broad range of courses in the fields of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, as well as many interdisciplinary courses combining knowledge and skills of many disciplines. It has 44 English-language programmes and has over 1,000 international and domestic partners.
