SAAS Postgraduate Tuition Fee and Living Cost Loan (Scotland)

Scottish-domiciled students undertaking a one year full time taught postgraduate course will be able to access, via the Students Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS), a loan to support theirs studies. For AY 2022/23, this can be up to £10,000 - comprising £5,500 for fees and £4,500 for living costs.

For AY 2023/24, the tuition fee loan portion will increase to £7000. You can apply for this from April 2023.

Postgraduate Loans (PGL) (England)

From September 2016, you may be able to get a Postgraduate Loan of up to £10,000 to help with course fees and living costs. Postgraduate Loans (PGL) are arranged through Student Finance England and are a contribution towards your cost of study and it is at your discretion to use the loan towards fees or maintenance costs. They are non-means tested and will be paid directly to you.
