Below are key dates to help you prepare for your studies starting in January 2025. You don’t need to wait until the listed dates to complete any steps, so please make sure to finish all required steps as soon as you can.

I am a prospective student that requires a student visa
Applications must be received by 2nd December for January 2025 entry.
You may have to pay a non-refundable £3,000 deposit if you meet specific criteria.
You are guaranteed an offer of accommodation in our university-managed residences if you apply for accommodation by TBC.
Once you have a Student ID you need to set up your IT account and complete multi-factor authentication from TBC.
You need to complete online registration when it opens in late 2024.

Welcome Week is all about helping you settle in and prepare for your academic and non-academic university life.
Teaching starts on 27th January.
The final registration date is 10th February.
The last deadline dates for some programmes are to be confirmed and will be listed here as soon as they are available.

Accept your offer and send all required documents to the Admissions Team as soon as possible. The deadline is 18th December.

Completing registration by the deadline
*To complete registration by the deadline you must:
- Have carried out the online registration process
- Be in Aberdeen
- Attended an in-person visa check
- Attended any in-person classes for your programme
The University will not permit students to begin their studies online and will not permit you to register after the date specified for your programme.
