Undergraduate
Hong Kong Diploma in Secondary Education
Arts: Successful completion of the Hong Kong Diploma in Secondary Education including a pass in all four Core subjects including grade 4 or better in English, and a pass at grade 4 or better in any three further subjects.
Science: Successful completion of the Hong Kong Diploma in Secondary Education including a pass in all four Core subjects including grade 3 or better in English and Maths (Compulsory part), and a pass at grade 4 or better in four subjects, including two Electives either selected from {Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, Geography} or selected from {Science, ICT, Geography} (if one of these four subjects is Maths then both the Compulsory and Extended parts should be passed at grade 4 or better).
Engineering: Successful completion of the Hong Kong Diploma in Secondary Education including a pass in all four Core subjects including grade 3 or better in English and Maths (Compulsory part), and a pass at grade 4 or better in four subjects, including Electives in Maths (where both the Compulsory and Extended parts should be passed at grade 4 or better) and Physics.
Law: Successful completion of the Hong Kong Diploma in Secondary Education including a pass in all four Core subjects, including level 4 in English, level 4 in three further subjects and level 5 in any one subject.

Postgraduate: A score of 3.00-3.30 is usually considered comparable to a UK 2.1 and a score of 2.50-2.90 is usually considered comparable to a UK 2.2. However exact requirements do vary according to the institution and specific department studied at. The honours awarded will be clearly stated in the final transcript.
