The University of Aberdeen is delighted to welcome US and Canadian High School Guidance Counsellors on a familiarisation tour of the University from 2 - 6 March 2014.
The tour is an opportunity for you to see the difference at the University of Aberdeen. You’ll learn about the benefits of higher education in Scotland, experience what it’s like to be a student in Aberdeen, and on return you’ll be able to better advise your students about studying across the pond!

Silver City Scholarship
We think it’s very important for guidance counsellors to experience the University of Aberdeen and that’s why successful applicants will receive the Silver City Scholarship to make it easier for them to attend. The scholarship includes:
- 4 nights accommodation and subsistence (all participants will have their own rooms)*.
- $1000 towards international travel expenses
Participants are required to cover the costs of personal expenses and airport transfers.
*You may travel with a guest and they are welcome to participate in the Tour and its activities. Please note however any additional charges will be met by your guest.
Application Process
Places are limited and in high demand. Please download the Silver City Scholarship Application Form and submit your completed application, together with a copy of your school’s profile by 1 November 2013. Please submit by email or post to:

Key Dates
1 November 2013: Applicants will be notified if they have been selected.
15 January 2014: Participants must confirm travel bookings or spot will be given to someone on the waitlist.
2 - 6 March 2014: University of Aberdeen Guidance Counsellor Tour.
