Embracing the challenges and opportunities presented by the energy transition requires a wide range of skills and expertise to help ensure a transition that is environmentally sustainable, affordable for all, and ensures security of supply. The Centre for Energy Transition is committed to undertaking data-driven, evidence-based, research to find energy solutions compatible with United Nations Sustainability Goals and which provide skills training to support people and communities seeking to deliver the energy transition.
As an integrated energy company, Shell U.K. Limited is committed to the development of future professionals who will be instrumental in supporting the energy transition in the north-east of Scotland and across the UK. We are delighted to receive Shell's support for programmes that are providing applied training in Aberdeen to students who will form part of the city's and region's future.
Eligibility
Please note, this scholarship is only available for Aberdeen-campus students.
The scholarships are open to applicants holding an offer of admission for one of the following campus-based, one-year, full-time degree programmes starting in September 2025:

The scholarships are not open to applicants wishing to study the programmes on a part-time basis or online only.
Criteria
The scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and interview performance.
Students may not hold more than one corporate funded scholarship at any one time.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Apply for an eligible programme via the University of Postgraduate Application Portal. You will need a valid application number to apply for a scholarship.
If you have already applied for an eligible programme for September 2025, proceed directly to Step 2 below.
Step 2: Submit your scholarship application using the Shell U.K. Limited Energy Transition Scholarship Application form. You must complete the application form in full and upload all requested supporting documentation. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
