The Student Helpline is available 24 hours a day and free-of-charge. It offers the opportunity to speak with a counsellor when the University Counselling Service is closed. This service is offered by an external partner to the university.
If you are feeling stressed, anxious or low, or are experiencing a difficult personal issue, you can phone to arrange to speak to a counsellor.
- Student Helpline freephone number (UK) 0808 196 2707
- Outside of UK 00353 1518 0277

Prior to being connected to a counsellor you will have to listen to and agree to a confidentiality statement. This should take no more than 60 seconds and is for your own security. You will be asked for a UK based next of kin (emergency contact) - this could be a parent, carer or relative if they are in the UK, or another person who knows you well.
