Hey everyone! I am Khamisa Dak from South Sudan and I studied MA Business Management.
I’m so excited to share a really special moment with you today - my graduation from the University of Aberdeen!
Being an international student here has been an incredible journey. When I first arrived, I was a mix of excited and nervous. But Aberdeen quickly became a second home. The beautiful campus, the friendly community, and the amazing people I’ve met made all the difference.
Studying here meant stepping out of my comfort zone, embracing new cultures, and making friends from all over the world. There were definitely challenges, like adapting to a new environment and dealing with the craziness of a global pandemic, but we all pushed through with so much resilience and determination.
I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to the University of Aberdeen. Thank you for being more than just a place to study. You provided a supportive community that helped us grow not just academically, but personally. The professors challenged us to think critically, and the diverse student body taught us the value of different perspectives. Aberdeen, you’ve been an unforgettable part of our lives.
Today, we’re not just celebrating academic achievements. We’re celebrating personal growth, perseverance, and the awesome connections we’ve made. I’m so grateful to our professors, friends, and families for all their support along the way.
As we move on to the next chapter, let’s take the lessons we’ve learned and make a positive impact wherever we go.
Thank you, University of Aberdeen, for everything. And to my fellow graduates—congrats! We did it!
