Creative Writing lecturer, Dr Shane Strachan, and English and Film student Sam Allan have been nominated for this year's Scots Language Awards taking place on Saturday 14 September.
Shane's poetry collection 'DWAMS' is up for Scots Book o' the Year, while Sam has been nominated for Scots Performer following his lead role in the Aberdeen Student Show.
The deadline for votes is Sunday 8 September.
