Prof. Clare Bond (Geosciences) spent last week in Arizona serving on the Science Advisory Group (SAG) for the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program. With 20 experts serving from all around the globe Clare was pleased to be in the company of Aberdeen Geology Alumni - Lisa Boush Park (SAG Chair, Prof. Uni Connecticut, and Aberdeen international exchange student ‘85-‘56) and Stephen Hesselbo (Prof. Uni Exeter and Aberdeen graduate ‘83). As well as 3 days of meetings they were treated to two days of field excursion which included the Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater and fossilised dinosaur footprints!
