STEM for the Youth: a joint venture between Institute of Mathematics and Science Cèilidh

Two researchers from the University of Aberdeen visited the Youth Group in Auchinleck as part of the programme Curiosity in Action from Science Cèilidh.

Dr Juliano Morimoto and Honours student Sophie Laurie, from the Institute of Mathematics in the School of Natural and Computer Sciences. visited the Youth Group for the first of a series of public engagement activities with the youth (8-12 years old). Dr Charles Wang, from the Department of Physics, is also part of the team and will visit the Youth Group in early 2024. The programme is a new initiative to streamline public engagement and outreach projects across Scotland, increasing the University of Aberdeen contribution to societal change.
