Congratulations to Faith Decontie who has just been awarded the Tammy Chen Memorial Scholarship, 2023-2024, from the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund to support her doctoral research in Social Anthropology.
Faith is from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Canada, and is committed to addressing Indigenous systematic governance challenges, service delivery barriers, and discrepancies within the Canadian settler state.
Faith's PhD research aims to advance Indigenising policy practices as a means of connecting First Nations community-based perspectives to Canadian Federal authoritative decision making practices that directly impact First Nations reserves.
