There are many exciting opportunities for you to shape your student experience at the University of Aberdeen.

Student Engagement

You can make a difference and contribute to change by becoming:

  • A School Convener, Class or Programme Representative
  • An elected AUSA Sabbatical Officer
  • An elected student council representative
  • A sports or societies volunteering campaigner
Formal Student Engagement

You can share your views and fuel change in formal University decision making processes by becoming a student representative.

You can get involved by:

  • Attending University Committees, including Court and Senate
  • Participating in Steering Groups, Project Boards, Task Forces and Working Groups
  • Becoming a member of Internal Teaching Review Panels
  • Completing Course Feedback Forms to feedback on the quality of teaching and learning
  • Participation in a range of surveys measuring student satisfaction and engagement
Informal

You can have your voice heard by providing face-to-face feedback to academic staff, student representatives and professional services through an exciting range of informal opportunities including:

  • Talking with staff via email or during office hours
  • Engaging with staff during labs, classes, tutorials, field-trips and social events
  • Interacting with staff and students through online discussion groups
  • Engaging with your personal tutor to discuss co-curricular, pastoral and academic matters
  • Participating in non-academic feedback through focus groups, dialogues and opinion polls
