Halloween traditions have been part of our lives for generations. Do you carve neepie lanterns or pumpkins? Dook for apples? Go guising or trick-or-treating from house to house?
Join Dr Tom McKean of the University's Elphinstone Institute to explore the origins of Halloween, from ghosts and the souls of the dead to disguise and the rise of limitless sweeties.
Tickets are £5 per person and include tea, coffee, and biscuits. You don't have to be a graduate to attend Alumni events - Staff, students, and supporters are always welcome to attend.
