This March, the Nordic Society is collaborating with the Linguistics Society! Have you ever wondered how the Nordic has influenced and has been influenced by other languages? Or how contact between Nordic languages and English and Scots has happened throughout time?
We are joined by Professor Robert McColl Millar for an academic talk about the broader contact between the Nordic and other languages, with a focus on the North Germanic languages, English and Scots. We hope to see you there!
Everyone is warmly welcomed, members and non-members alike. Please keep in mind that face masks are mandatory in university facilities. We'll be in NK10.
