The Elphinstone Review, the University of Aberdeen's student-led undergraduate academic journal, is now accepting submissions!
The journal’s aim is to showcase the very best of undergraduate work at the University of Aberdeen and produce a journal that reflects the breadth of the work carried out by students across all disciplines.
This is a unique opportunity to be published in an academic journal as an undergraduate student. Please note that you are more than welcome to use essays submitted as part of your university courses; however, we are also eager to feature outstanding personal papers. These could include work inspired by internships, work experience, or even independent scientific projects you have undertaken.
The deadline for submissions is at midnight on Friday 31 January 31 2025.
We strongly encourage you to explore our previous volumes here.
Reviewing past articles will give a clear understanding of their format and style, which can be used as a guide for your own submission.
Articles should be:
- less than 4000 words (excluding footnotes and bibliography);
- submitted in Word format
- your name should be included in the title of your document;
- your work should be referenced using the APA style format
- an abstract can be included but is not necessary.
Please submit your applications to elphinstone.review@abdn.ac.uk
