Professor Nadia Kiwan was invited to present on the national importance of languages and the requirement for strategic government action to safeguard options for languages and cultural study, including at degree level at a meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Modern Languages at the House of Lords yesterday, along with colleagues from UniversitiesUK, the University Council for Languages,the British Academy, the Institute for Languages, Cultures and Societies, the Association of University Language Centres.
