Museum Studies PhD Student wins prestigious award

Congratulations to Bianca Bellafiore, a final year Museum Studies PhD student, who has been awarded the Erve Chambers Tourism and Heritage Paper Award from the American Society for Applied Anthropology.  Bianca will present her paper The Angus Folk Collection Comes to Dun: Design and interpretation of a re-homed local heritage collection at the Society’s 84th Annual Meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in March. The paper is based on ethnographic research into how visitors respond to strategies such as light and sound design, costumed interpretation and performance intended to produce a range of atmospheres at the House of Dun near Montrose. Well done, Bianca!
