Across the world, community solar projects are appearing that general renewable power, bring communities together and keep more money in the local economy. Come to this cafe created in partnership with North East Scotland Climate Action Network (NESCAN) and hear from people doing this in their community and advising governments about increasing the roll-out of these promising social innovations. There are three speakers in the free hybrid (in-person and online):

  • Thomas Bove and Christoph Stoll from Climate Connect, Germany-Citizen Energy Cooperatives in Germany.
  • Jim Lee from Energy4all and Director of Edinburgh Community Solar Coop- The Edinburgh Community Solar Cooperative.
  • Jenni Marchant, Community Energy Scotland-Power to the People: Unlocking Scotland’s Solar Potential for Communities.

Each speaker will talk for 15 minutes, and after all have spoken there will be a Q&A session with both in-person and online audience called to ask questions.The event will start at 7pm but feel free to come to NESCOL from 6.30pm as there is a cafe so you can get a drink and socialise with the other attendees.
