The STEMAspire Program:

STEMAspire is a mentoring program developed for female students in third level education, studying STEM subjects. It is a strategic diversity program created to address the gender gap in the IT industry by encouraging and empowering female students in higher education studying STEM subjects to complete their studies and find rewarding careers in the field. The objective is to encourage, empower, and connect female college students to not only complete their studies but also find rewarding careers in the field and ideally with Dell Technologies.

About STEM Aspire STEM Aspire is now a 6-month program, designed to help and encourage female / identify as female students into a successful and rewarding career in a STEM related industry, through both confidence building and supporting them to become ‘work-ready.’ The program provides students (Mentees) with one-to-one support from Mentors from Dell Technologies & Partner organisations. Mentees will attend tailored virtual learning events throughout the year, hosted by Dell and corporate partners to provide guidance, support and expertise in key areas that help to bridge the gap between education and employment. STEM Aspire Key Benefits  • Insights into careers & Networking opportunities and access to graduate programs• Understanding of the Corporate world / Preparation for intern and graduate applications  • Confidence building - visualize yourself as a professional 

Criteria• Female (identify as) students in their second / third / final year at a UK university• Studying STEM related subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, or related subject) Business is also now included

Steps• We’ll run a 30-minute workshop to give students who are interested an overview of the programme (12th November 10.30am)• Open application process for 2 weeks (November/December) Which students can access after the call• Students will be contacted by a member of our STEM Aspire team• Complete personality test to be matched to a mentor• Programme will start February and run for 6 months (this will include virtual workshops and 121 mentoring sessions)
