Don't miss the first Ethnographic Film showing of the semester. This will be a wonderful opportunity to explore the fascinating Padstow May Day tradition through the lens of film maker Barbara Santi.

King for a Day is a poetic archive-led documentary immersing us in the personal story of the people of Padstow, their ancient rituals and the challenges they face in a rapidly changing world. Tensions between tradition and progress punctuate the importance of cultural identity and the relevance of folk customs in our globalised society.Barbara will be joining us to talk about the film and take part in a Q&A following the screening.
