What is the point of using paragraphs? If they are not just random collections of loosely related sentences, then how should they be organised?
This online session with the Student Learning Service shows you how to understand the different purposes paragraphs can have and how to construct them cohesively. You will encounter several examples of effective and of less effective paragraphs and learn to identify the difference.
