The framework allows students to:

The MySkills framework has several parts that will allow students to get the most out of recording, reflecting and building their skills.
- MySkills MyAberdeen Site
-
Students can log into MyAberdeen site to access the MySkills framework. There are three variants of the site with one for undergraduate , postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students.
The site holds information and resources that will support students in completing a skills audit, setting up and using a portfolio and providing them with resources to help develop their skills.

- MySkills Audit
-
The MySkills Audit gives students the chance to assess their skills development throughout their time at the University. It is a way for students to think about and understand their own strengths, weaknesses and potential, and they should use it alongside other MySkills resources to explore and enhance their skills development journey.
Students are asked a series of questions that align to the six Skills Groups in the framework and then receive personalised feedback that will help them assess their skills in these areas.
- MySkills Portfolio
-
The MySkills Portfolio is a place where students can record and reflect on their activities, evidencing their progress and experiences during their time at the University.
The MySkills Portfolio is a OneNote notebook students can download from MyAberdeen to create their own personal portfolio. The OneNote file provides students with guidance and templates for setting up and organising the portfolio, keeping a record of their activities and reviewing and reflecting on them.
- MySkills Resources
-
The MySkills Resources are within the MyAberdeen site. Each skill in the framework has a dedicated section where students can learn more about what it entails, find materials and online learning opportunities, take quizzes to check their knowledge, and ultimately enhance their skills development in all areas of the MySkills framework.
