Launched in 2018, the Industrial Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research in Digital Diagnostics (iCAIRD) brings together 15 academic, industry and healthcare partners throughout Scotland.

A centre of excellence, iCAIRD was established to enable better and earlier diagnosis, more efficient treatment and improved outcomes for patients by applying artificial intelligence and innovative technology in the healthcare system.

The University of Aberdeen is a core site within the collaboration, with the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science and NHS Grampian leading the way in Aberdeen to transform how academia works with industry and the NHS.

By enabling academics, clinicians and industry to work together to quickly and efficiently solve healthcare challenges, iCAIRD is delivering significant benefits for patients through innovative technology and an improved healthcare system.
